This was my second cruise on Carnival, the first was a 15 day cruise from LA to Hawaii and back and that was great. I want to compare this cruise to a fall 2015 cruise on Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas to New England and Canada with my wife.

Embarkment- SLOW, you first went through a line where they took your health certification form then up and escalator to the check in area, they had it split into two side with associates checking you in. Unfortunately, the cruise associates were not too efficient, they were talking to each other at one time there were three open slot and they associated did not bother to electronically alert the cruise passengers that "#49" was open. It took us over an hour to check in, where they took you picture gave you the sail and sign card and checked your passport.

Balcony

Cabin 8C

standard balcony cabin, on the starboard side, the balcony was enjoyable having morning coffee and a glass of wine, its small with enough room for a small table and two chairs, but that is all you need. Adequate closet and dresser space, good shower and lavatory. The TV channels were better than on RCCL, but you are not a cruise to watch TV. Our cabin steward Pan was EXCELLENT, we requested ice day and evening and he supplied fresh wine glasses every evening. The beds were comfortable.
