First , I will comment on the good. The ship is lovely, the entertainment is great, the service in the L'Approdo Restaurant superb, Sotto Vento Pub, great servers but very slow in getting service due to lack of help. We ordered sandwiches once and waited over an hour, so we left. Our cabin was very nice with balcony. Service was non existant with the cabin boy. He left our drink glasses and plates for days. The shower is very small but doable. We found the food very good except for breakfast (always cold) and the layout of the buffet could be more user friendly. For example, butter not beside bread and buns. We were shuffled around to get coffee, etc. Servers would not get you anything, just told you where it was located.
Now the bad...We were a group of 14 Canadians, mainly women 45 to 82 years of age. One of our group needed a walker and she had great difficulty getting around. The ship is not user friendly for people with disabilities. The crew were very helpful, but the passengers were down right horrible. I was shocked beyond belief how they treated my friend with the walker. They would not move for her to get off the elevator. One time she had to go up to the 11th floor and back down to the 10th flr. as the man would not move and yelled obscenities leaving the elevator.
If it weren't for our wonderful group, this cruise would have been a disaster. We all feel that if MSC wants Canadians to cruise with them they will have to address this issue. It is a new market for MSC in Cuba for Canadians and if they want us and the Americans to cruise they better address this sooner than later.
