I was told NCL was the bottom of the barrel of cruising. I am not sure why because this ship was clean, the staff was very friendly. No snootiness here. We traveled with 11 other family members. Four were under the age of 7. The children were made to feel very welcomed. At the Aqua our 5 yr old granddaughter spilled her cranberry juice. They were very nice about it.
But as far as eating, the children loved the children's area in the Garden Cafe, with their own little buffet. It was perfect.
We had dinner one night at the Moderno. It was fun and good, they were good to the children. Not sure why they made us ordered their food first and brought it out about the same time they took our orders, the kids were done eating before we started. Kindles helped.

It was clean, the bed was OK, could've been a little more softer. But one plug was irritating to us. Cell phones to charge, iPads, but more importantly my husband's c-pap machine. If he hadn't packed an extension cord he wouldn't of been able to use it. He gets overtired without it. My daughter had power strips plugged into power strips. That was not safe either. What is their reasoning? We were always balancing something to get it charged or the curling iron plugged in.

New Orleans
NOLA port is pretty accessible. Food is good there of course.
Roatan
He was very good, took us to a few places and then dropped us at the beach where he signed us in, got us to our seats. Picked us up right on time.
Roatan
The tour driver was good, the experience was OK, but I didn't like Roatan. Looked unsafe to me, but no one bothered us. The driver took us to a nice beach for the afternoon after the tour and came back right on time to pick us up.
Belize City
5 miles tender? It was a bit much. The seas were calm that day, I was happy for that. It did not feel safe, although there were security every where. Lots of stores had designer purses for 1/4 of the cost. My bet they were not real, but they looked good.
Costa Maya
The port is all new due to a hurricane, It destroyed a lot of business and homes, hotels, so it looks pretty sad yet. We went to a place called Maya Chan I believe. It was about a 20 min drive from the port way down back roads, small roads. Had my niece not been there before I would of been worried! LOL Maybe homes there had no walls, but satellite TV. ?? Just sad to see how some lived. Learning experience.
