Independence of the Seas 6 Night Western Review (February 15-21, 2009)

Let me start with the stats: We are a family of 5: DH and I (mid 40's), and 3 boys (17, 15 & 12). We have been on a few cruises, and really love them for a family vacation. This one rates right up near the top of the list. We had a fantastic time overall. If I don't answer your questions in this review, just ask on the boards and I'll do my best.

EMBARKATION: Fort Lauderdale is my least favorite port. It always seems so busy and unorganized. We didn't have any major issues though. We dropped our bags with a porter, tipped him (no pressure to do so), proceeded through security, checked in, and waited in the boarding queue. The whole process took about an hour. Not too bad considering we arrived about 11:30.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Connecting cabins, 7304 and 7306. Great location. Very quiet. Balcony divider opens. 7304 had a pullman, 7306 did not. Very comfortable with 2 adults and 3 kids (12, 15, & 17). Lots of storage space. Would definitely book thes rooms again.
