We've been cruising for 25 years now so we have some basis for comparison. First, Bayonne isn't a very nice place to go out of, and when we arrived on Jan15, 2016, their wifi went down and they didn't seem to have a back-up plan. Embarkation was a mess.
As for the ship, some critics have written that it seemed worn. We didn't find any such thing. Our balcony cabin was spacious, clean and pleasant. The public areas were also in great shape. We alternated our sit-down meals in the four theme restaurants included with the cruise. We found the food to be perhaps the best we've had on a cruise in recent times. We're not meat eaters, but we had to go back for the hibachi steak in Silk. It was excellent. The WIndjammer and Solarium are the usual buffets. There is an ample selection of buffet food. We didn't find it to be inconsistent.
The shows in the theater and Two70 were excellent. The electronics, technology and machinery made for the most unique performances we've ever seen on a ship. The headliner acts were also very good. One thing we didn't think they did well was the recorded "ballroom music" in the Music Hall. We've been ballroom dancers for over 20 years, and the selection of music they played wasn't ballroom. Also, the Crown and Anchor get together was disappointing.
Large, well appointed with plenty of storage room. Compact bathroom with shower as usual, but very usable.
The cat took us to a place at the south end of St. Kitts where we snorkeled, then to Nevis where we were put ashore on a beach. They fed us a tasty lunch on board, and the drinks were good.
A motorcouch took us to a downtown beach, then to the fort, then to a street in Old San Juan where we dropped off to shop and try some of the local cuisine.
