After reading some of the reviews on Cruise Critic we were a bit apprehensive about whether the high standards of our two previous Nautica cruises would be maintained, since the NCL acquisition. We need not have worried!

The ship was clean, crew were great, and the food was excellent, even though the menu did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the cruise. Our fellow passengers were a mix of folk from USA, Canada, NZealand, and Australia and though mainly retirees a few younger couples too.

The library was well patronised, but whoever chooses the books, I think buys them by the yard...six copies of the same books! The entertainment staff Luke, Chris, Susannah and Savanah were talented young people with excellent voices, and they worked hard during the day too with various deck sports. The cruise director David was pleasant and ran General Knowledge Quizzes every day as well as running the tours and tenders into port.

Port Reviews

Sihanoukville

dirty,

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Car was clean and modern. Driver was excellent, and the guide knowledgeable. Iced water, chilled hand towels were provided and the tour included all admissions. Pick up and return at the Cruise Port.

Hong Kong

Hong was fine, busy, but relatively clean. Though we did experience the coldest weather for 40 years.

Koh Samui

Not much there

Singapore

Clean, beautiful parks. Great public transport.
