We had a wonderful cruise and really hated to come home, as we heard the weather here was horrible while we were gone.

Our flight to Ft. Lauderdale was on time and we got to our hotel by 5:30 p.m. My friends met us at 6 and we went to a seafood restaurant. We stayed at the Airport Rodeway Inn and Suites. They were very accommodating. They provided free breakfasts with fresh made waffles. The hotel had a free shuttle from the airport and the next day it also took us to the port. We got to the port around 12:30. Embarkation went smoothly. It took about an hour. We were on the ship by 1:30 and at our M & G by 2.

Meet and Greet: We had over 60 people at our M&G on the aft bar, the day we boarded. Someone made laminated name tags with a ribbon so we could wear them and identify ourselves. They had our CC sign-in names and our real names on them. Everyone recognized everyone from our roll call, as we all wore Mardi Gras beads. It was so much fun meeting all those people we corresponded with from our roll call. We bumped into a lot of these people on the ship and at the different port excursions. It was a great beginning to a wonderful cruise. The ship: The diningroom was a little gaudy for my taste (huge purple grapes all over the ceiling)and you had to go thru the casino to get to the 1st floor dinning room. The other option was to go to the 3rd floor and walk down a flight. I did like that all the lounges, shops, and bars were located on either floors 2 or 3. I also liked that they had 4 pools. Two mid, one aft and one above with a slide for the kids. We always found chairs. The ship itself was very nice. Our cabin had an extended balcony and it was roomy enough for 3-4 people.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8H

I loved our cabin with the extended balcony, but we were a little far from the diningroom and casino. It was always quiet except for the slamming of the balcony doors in the morning.
