A little background information about us for frame of reference:

My wife and I are Disney Vacation Club Members, frequently stay at the top tier Disney resorts (Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, etc.) and DVC offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort (Grand Californian). Additionally we frequent various Las Vegas Resorts including the Signature at MGM, Vdara Las Vegas, The Bellagio, the Cosmopolitan and Elara Las Vegas. We are in our late 30s and do not have children. We are former Disney Cast Members (employees). We both work an average of 100 hours per week, 7 days a week. We live in Orlando, FL and are surrounded by world class dining, resorts and entertainment. It’s quite difficult to impress us and very easy to disappoint us. We like to travel whenever possible as our work schedules are intense. We like to relax and have fun when we travel.

We have been on other cruises before including Norwegian Getaway (1x), Norwegian Epic (2x), Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas (2x), Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas (1x) and Holland America Oosterdam (1x).

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Very similar to the Norwegian Getaway. Not sure, but the balcony felt larger. No complaints. Was on Deck 9, walked down to 6-7-8 all the time. Very central to all of the ship fun. Room was clean, the steward was friendly. The view was great. Slept like a baby on this ship. LOVE that there are USB ports in the lamps above the bed, makes it easy to plug in your phone or a small fan, etc.

Port Reviews

Miami

Miami is a beautiful port. Leaving Miami provides some great scenery. The port is BUSY and expensive. Cost us $140 to park for seven days.

Nassau

My wife and I jokingly refer to Nassau as the Bahamas Rest Stop. Everyone stops there. It’s always cool to see so many other ships. We opted to not leave the ship on this day, we’ve been to Nassau many times and it’s a lot of fun. The Escape was so much fun we spent the day on board and pretty much had the ship to ourselves.
