This was our 6th cruise with Royal Caribbean and the first of the Vision of the Seas. We flew down 2 days early from the north east as we usually do in January accounting for weather delays. We stayed at the Marriot Waterside which is very near the port. Its a nice hotel on a marina canal with restaurants and bars. It was only a few minute cab ride to the cruise terminal from the hotel.

Embarkation:

Upon arrival at the terminal our luggage was quickly taken by porters and we made our way to check in. We always arrive early and did so around 11:00 am. The line for security was long and moved slowly. However, once through security screening, we were checked in with in minutes and on our way to the ship. Read more
