Four of us, our friends, my husband and I, took a great 10 day cruise on the Emerald Princess which was relaxing and exactly what we needed. The ship had just come out of dry dock and was fresh and shining. Everything on the ship was lovely. There are great bars, pools, and many places to get away and have some quiet time.

We use anytime dining and I made reservations on embarkation day for the entire trip. This made dinner so easy as we didn't need to stand in line. We had a small round table just inside the door and it was ready for us every night. I thought the food was fine, but not as good at on Holland America. There weren't as many choices.

At the end of the cruise Princess offers express luggage service. For $20/person, we gave them our flight information and they brought us our luggage tags and boarding passes.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

I rented a scooter for my husband which was delivered to our room. We had a handicap accessable room - A304 which was huge and was the biggest room we've ever experienced. It had a shower that could accomodate a wheel chair and the balcony had a little ramp that made it easy for him to go outside. The room easily held the scooter with room to spare. Also, it was right at the elevator! Our room steward, Christine, was delightful and always made sure we had a full bucket of ice. She also got a top sheet for me as the duvets get too hot during the night and the beds need a top sheet.

Port Reviews

Antigua

We found Louis in the port and he took all over Antigua including to his favorite beach which was lovely and not crowded

He gave us a wonderful tour for over 2 hours for $50 each

Barbados

port was ugly and not tourist friendly.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Bought some pretty jewelry. We didn't leave the port, but the shopping area was nice

St. Thomas

We've been to St. Thomas several times. I went into town to go to Mr. Tablecloth. They have pretty pillowcases, table cloths and various other napkins/dresses/etc. Nice shop. Came back to the port for lunch. Then back to the ship and watched a young couple miss the ship. Not a good idea to be late, the ship doesn't wait long!

Princess Cays

I enjoyed the beach.
