We enjoyed our time on the Sky. We were in room 9075 which was an aft facing penthouse suite with large balcony. Balcony: The balcony fits two recliner chairs, three upright chairs, and two small tables. There was plenty of room to spare with that. Noise on the balcony was less than I had thought, motor noise/prop noise low. Noise from the main deck low most of the time. There were a couple of times it was a bit more as you would expect-when leaving port and everyone is waving at other boats. People really enjoy waiving and yelling to other people on the other boats in general ;). Bedroom: had king bed with nightstands on either sides. European outlets by the bed (bring a converter-most outlets in the room were european. We planned ahead with an extension cord and outlet expander with usb ports so we didn't mind the european plugs). There was plenty of storage closets and drawers in the room for both of our items and a desk with mirror as well. Main living area: Sofa, two coffee tables, large built in desk, table and two formal chairs, nice coffee maker that worked great, small fridge nice and cold, and storage beneath the bar area. Sofa turns into a hide-a-bed and an extra cot can be brought in as well with plenty of room. Bathroom: Whirlpool tub, nice size but the "whirlpool" part of the tub (aka jets) do not work. Vanity, mirror with doors to shelves behind the mirror, and a small shower. Note there is one of those thingies that you can pull from one side to the other to have a clothesline over the tub. This comes in really handy. Food: We particularly enjoyed Cagney's in the AM's. Omelets were delicious. Best food in our opinion was at the French place in the evenings. More food than one can possibly try, and can't complain about any of it-it was about what you would expect when food is made for the masses. Service: We wondered what we would do with the butler, concierge, and room steward. Here's how they worked for us: Our butler greeted us and brought us on the ship. From that point forward, if we wanted anything, we called him and he happily got it for us (we used him for food, drinks, movies. Of the three service folks for the room, we saw him the least). He also magically had yummy treats for us put into our room each afternoon which was lovely coming back from excursions to find anything from chocolate covered strawberries to finger sandwiches, etc. Concierge-they help with other things like tickets to shows, dining reservations, and excursions. Ours was impressive-she checked in with us at different times during the day and if we wondered about anything, she was ALWAYS right on top of it finding the actual answer. She would find us in the restaurants and make sure everything was to our liking. She made shore reservations for us, and she brought us to the tender boat for priority boarding when we wanted to go. Room steward-for our stay, our room steward was awesome. We figured the room steward would make up the room once a day, not the case here. He cleaned twice per day, made towel animals everyday, did turn down service and then cleaned up the hide a bed and the cot as well as made the beds in the AM, took out our garbage twice per day. He was always working it seemed. We saw him often as we passed through the halls and he was always working on something. He remembered our names and greeted us by name every time he saw us. He would open our door for us when he saw us coming. He anticipated our needs greatly, and he deserves a lot of credit and recognition.
