Cabin: Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Boarding process went smoothly. Short wait in line and then got right on to the ship and the cabin was available. The ship - too large and not enough public space. Forget finding a lounge chair by the pool, then again the pool itself is almost non-existent, sun deck or spice h20 unless you are up and lock something down at first light. I did get time on deck by not going ashore on a port day. Too bad you have to choose between time in port or having some peaceful time on the ship. Food experience was mixed. Taste and Savor offer free dining experience but ambience and quality of food mediocre. Manhattan room was a very nice dining experience. O'sheehans - forget it. They may be open 24 hours but menu is limited and quality is just not there.

Cabin, a balcony room, is what saved the experience. Spent quite a bit of time on balcony to escape the crowds. Plenty of closet space and shelves for folded clothes and other stuff. Bathroom decent size. They have activities in the atrium but again not enough space to allow everyone to participate comfortably. We saw after midnight, wine lovers the musical, comedy, for the record and million dollar quartet. Wine lovers and for the record were dinner shows where again the food was poor. At the shows NCL serves a set menu, which you do not see until you are seated. Wine lovers and million dollar quartet were good shows. Comedy at headliners and the show in the theater were both very entertaining.

Service was very good throughout the cruise. The waterfront was wonderful. Several times I was able to find a comfy couch, sit for hours with a book and glass of wine and watch the water. Seemed NCL is geared toward the 20-30 crowd and families. Grandson (18) enjoyed it. His comment - they need to do more for the 18-25 meet and greet and other activities for this age group. The meet and greet while held each night was held in the 5 o'clock somewhere bar but they had other functions going on at the same time. Not really organized and when he went the first night he thought he was at the wrong place. DJ played the same music at the pool and the skyline bar. He said while it was great to hang with friends he met they really needed to change out the tunes.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Liked the cabin. Location was good. But did hear some noise coming from one of the bars on the water front deck. Balcony size was enough for 2 chairs and a very small table. Would have liked the table to be a bit larger so you could fi 2 plates on it. Enough closet space and shelves for folded clothes and other stuff. Bathroom was small but there was enough space to move around.
