Viking Star Cruise Review by Donna Bonk
- Sail Date: September 2015
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
We enjoyed the entertainment very much. We learned quickly that you have to be early to get a good seat!! Very good shows - especially the Beatles!
We spent quite a lot of time in the Explorer Lounge which was a little on the cold side but we were able to find some blankets to cover with. Eventually it warmed up.
We found the pool area to be very comfortable and did enjoy it on our two days at sea.
We very much enjoyed all the excursions. There are some places I would love to visit again. I found the tour guides very good for most of the tours. Some were definitely more knowledgeable than others. We also appreciated having time to ourselves to explore as we did in Sorrento and Venice.
We so much appreciated the servers in all the restaurants. Very friends and helpful. They would go out of their way I believe to ensure you enjoyed the whole dining experience. There was an occasion when we asked for a specialty coffee that wasn't on the list. They went to Google to find the recipe and it was delicious!!
We enjoyed the cooking class we had on board. A lot of humour and some delicious recipes.
