Terrific embarkation.....until the cameras wouldn't work for pictures and everyone had to wait for an hour, but that was about the last glitch. We have been on a lot of cruises, including a lot of Celebrity and this one was about the best, except for a really disappointing walking/boat/promenade deck. No walking around on either end, few chairs, and almost no view of the water because the lifeboats are beside the rail instead of above your head. However, back to things I really liked:
Bistro on five is pretty good, especially for dodging the crowds on embarkation day, though it is up to $10pp now.
A shower mechanism that makes sense.
Our inside cabin was clean and nicely decorated by cruise ship standards. There were some odd bits of wasted space, and not very many drawers, but we made do. The cabinets over the bed were hard to reach except by leaping up onto the beds, so we didn't use them except for library books as we figured they would be high risk for forgetting things in.
Cabbie took us by the "scenic" route, so bring the exact address.
Pretty. Nice floating bridge.
Nice beaches.
Not as good as Aruba and Curaçao.
Took a cab to Diamond Falls. Enjoyed the cabby, Brien's tour as we went.
If it is a Sunday, as it was for us, everything is closed. You have to walk through a dirty light industrial zone to get to town to see the homeless people.
Stay on the boat or take an excursion out of town.
Enjoyed Dickenson Bay beach.
We just walked the beach right near the port and enjoyed that. The town was pretty touristy. We usually go to the French side, which we prefer.
