We have been on over 25 cruises but this is just our third with RCCL. We were spending 5 full days at Walt Disney World prior to the cruise so we were really looking at relaxing. This trip was just for my husband, myself and our 20 year old daughter.
Our driver at our hotel (Dolphin) was a no show so we had to Uber from to the port ($121.00), this put us at the port about 12:30 so we missed the crowds. We had a suite so we had the "special" lines but was really not necessary since the lines were so short anyway.
Of course, the Windjammer was extremely busy since no one left their tables because the rooms had not opened up yet (all hallways to the cabins are closed, so no drop off of small items). I had read about Park Café (same deck) so we headed over there. You can get salads, small sandwiches and soup there, there is also a bar very close so I walked over to get our traditional embarkation beer. Rooms did open up earlier somewhere around 1:15.
Even though at the front of the ship, not much movement (although no rough seas this sailing)
We did not get to do the airboat due to weather, which was fine BUT the "captain" of the boat did not interact with us at all, he was a huge grump. There was shore excursion crew member along with us and wondered how Mr. Grumpy was going to get conveyed back to the department.
Book Nassau Segway on our own (not offered through RCCL), very fun and lessons are given, but they are easy to maneuver.
