Viking Star Cruise Review by jean94086
- Sail Date: August 2015
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
The food was very good. We tried all the restaurants but ended preferring "The Restaurant." The evening entertainment in the theater was good, not great but fine. The incidental music in the open areas of the ship was excellent.
The tours were good, not great again but fine. We enjoyed the ports we stopped at, although thought they could have spent more time in Monte Carlo and skipped Toulon--poor guide there and not a lot to see.
The cabin was more than adequate--we had a balcony which we always enjoy. The heating in the open areas and theater of the ship was extremely variable--sometimes too warm, more often too cold. However, there were lovely cashmere blankets all over which you could use and we did.
All in all we loved the cruise and highly recommend it. The Viking Star is a beautiful ship.
