Overall, this is a fantastic new ship with professional, well-trained crew. Our favorite excursions were The Normandy Countryside Cheese & Brandy excursion, the Day Trip to Sevilla, The Walking Tour of Greenwich & Pub Stop, and The Concert at St. Michael's Cave in Gibraltar - all at additional pricing, but well worth it.
Cabin stewards were excellent during the cruise with the exception that our cabin was not ready when promised at boarding - aggravating, but not awful.
The food is extremely well done. We especially enjoyed the Italian Restaurant on board, Manfredi's, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the World Cafe and afternoon tea in the Wintergarden. We found service in The Restaurant , the main dining room, to be slow. Some of the wait staff favored/payed special attention to the longer voyage (more than 2 weeks) passengers and ignored the shorter voyage (2 weeks) passengers.
Excellent overall with these exceptions: 1) From cabin 4115, you have to walk a long way to get to the common areas. That's not a bad thing if you want to exercise. 2) Our cabin was NOT ready when we were allowed to board the ship. We ate lunch and enjoyed that, but we would've preferred to get settled in our cabin first. 3) Since it's a new ship, some of the IT electronics were not working perfectly, such as the TV menus would freeze. It took 3 calls to get someone to come to the cabin. Since the TV functions as a computer, it had to be restarted. To do that, the crew member had to bring a special screw driver to remove the bottom plate, then unplug the TV to let it reset. That's a design flaw.
