As a younger cruiser you may find this cruise a bit sedate. Two of our more "active" excursions were cancelled due to lack of interest because most of the people on this cruise line are older. This is my third Oceania cruise and I know this, but this is the first time it's gotten in the way of my enjoyment. So just be aware that if you wanted to do something like hike a volcano or kayak the ocean - you may have to get your own excursion and risk not getting back to the ship on time (something I wasn't willing to do).
This was the only reason this cruise wasn't excellent. Julie the cruise director made this sailing one of the best I have been on with Oceania. The entertainment was top notch. Usually boyfriend and I avoid the entertainment like the plague, but this trip it was stellar. What made our trip the best was the string quartet every night. Inspired really. They were just wonderful. I could have listened 3x a day instead of the 90min a night they played.
The food is always great and one of the reasons we pay to take Oceania instead of other cruise lines. I stick to the buffet mostly, but we did manage to make it to the grand dining room twice and of course had a meal at Toscana (my favorite) and the steakhouse (not my favorite).
They are small but well put together.
