The cruise was good but I thought there were going to be a few more activities to keep my 2yr old busy. He's in swim lessons every week with a cloth swim diaper that holds in any poo if by chance we missed that he was going, but we were told he was not allowed in ANY of the pools unless he was fully potty trained. I thought there would be different art activities and things that he'd be able to do with other kids his age while my husband and/or I were close by but were told that parents were not allowed in the room. The 3-5yr old room you cannot even see into. Our son was very uncomfortable with all the new people and things going on and wanted to be with his parents for security so sending him into an area by himself was out of the question. We took him to the Fuel room when they had the toys out but there were never any other kids in there for him to play with (maybe advertising this area a little more would've gotten it more visitors). We went to the nursery 3 times, 2 of which no other kids were there and once infants were sleeping, that defeated the purpose of wanting him to play with other kids. For the heck of it, on the last day we put him in the nursery anyway, at a time when we knew another kid his age would be in there, and they called me 10-15mins later saying I had to come get him... well, I told them that's how well that was going to go.

The scrambled eggs were terrible!! but all the other food was delicious! If you have younger, restless kids, the Windjammer cafe is the way to go!

A bit disappointed that we didn't stop at Coco Cay due to weather, it would've been nice if we could've stopped by on the way back but I own a business therefore know the struggles of scheduling and I can only imagine trying to coordinate all those cruise ships.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

My husband and I had a balcony room while our kids had an inside room across the hall. An adjoined room would've made things a little nicer but it was already taken by the time we booked (about a year in advance). The rooms were nice but definitely small when you have more than 2ppl in them. We put our 2yr olds carseat out on the balcony because there was nowhere inside to put it that wouldn't be in a direct walking path. If we cruise again then we'll definitely go with a larger sq footage room.

St. Maarten

Tour to the French side we decided to do on our own. We ran into some other cruisers who were taking the public bus to the other side so we followed them. The public bus is $2 per person and was worse than St. Thomas' tour bus by far! We decided the $7 per person taxi back was the way to go. While on the French side, we saw some of the cruise tour buses and they looked way nicer than the ones in St Thomas. Again, they all drive crazy on compact streets, it could make a person have an anxiety attack.
