Weather - 70 mph winds caused a 4.5 hr. delay getting into port, instead of disembarking before noon, it was 4 p.m. when we walked off, others were later
Medical issues for a passenger caused an unplanned turnaround to Cancun to drop him off
Both of these meant longer on the ship but that didn't cause the crew to grumble despite what I would imagine was a mass of passenger complaints and issues. Crew adapted, kept their smiles and offered help with change of flights, connections, etc. For the passengers asking for a refund or credit, I say, "Really? How are either of this issues to be blamed on anyone?"
Noise issue every 20 minutes. The bang was loud enough to vibrate the walls and bed. At first, we thought it was a neighbor but upon investigation it was caused from the crew deck (I suspect a hall door used constantly) below us. Room temperature was always cool enough.
Moved to Cabin 2367. This room has no room above it. No footsteps, no closets or drawer slamming shut by neighbors. It is surrounded by utility rooms which were rarely used by the crew. If you don't mind bunk beds, this is the room to book. Slept like babies due to the quiet despite being near elevators. The room temperature was always a tad warm for us despite having it cranked all the way down in January.
Moved to Cabin 9342. Balcony below the Lido Buffet. Children running overhead. Scraping noises from balcony chairs and dining chairs were an issue allllllllll night long. Guests allowing the balcony doors to slam shut were annoying. Lots of counter top space above drawers. Plenty of places to stash things. Temperature cool enough to our liking. The day we occupied this room in Cozumel, we faced the ocean and not the port.
We got off and did shopping on our own. The taxis are cheap, the area on the main drag are safe. We taxi down to old town shopping square and then walk out way back on the main drag.
No excursion. Stayed overnight, ate seafood.
