Sailed on Azamara Journey through the Panama Canal , from Caldera, Costa Rica to Miami in early January, 2016. Service was , as usual , excellent. Ship was clean and cared for, the last sailing before the much anticipated dry dock, when there will be much upgrading.
Had an obstructed oceanview, which was fine, although could not see much out the window due to the lifeboat (Cabin 6044). I think cabin next door may have had a bit more view.
We had two men onboard who gave great lectures and presentations daily in the Panama Canal and Caribbean. One many narrated all day from the Looking Glass, where the front windows have a great view of sailing through the Canal.
Small but adequate , even for two. Could not see much out of the window due to the lifeboat being there.
Beds comfy; Adequate closets and drawers for us.
Safe was finicky as was clock.
Mid ship so never rocky
Bus to see fort, then guided walk in the walled city. Then walk on our own ,. Adequate but not exciting
Taxi to Montego Bay with others. Took an hour to fill the taxi shuttle up. Nice beach and water
