Overall we had a wonderful time on the Breeze. We've only sailed on older Carnival ships before, so the Breeze with it's toned down décor & multiple dining options was definitely an improvement from other sailings. Our cabin steward(ess) Diana took excellent care of us from the moment we boarded. Dining room staff was equally as wonderful, Fritz was an awesome server & the food was overall very good. Two of the six nights my husband & I treated ourselves to the steakhouse, not as great as I had hoped, more of a place to say that you went. Cucina del Capitano (specialty Italian) is free for pasta bar at lunch but you pay more for dinner. Overall it was nice, beautiful old village Italian feel. All day buffets were decent with a nice variety daily. Guy's Burger Joint was awesome. There was also a hot dog cart and sea side BBQ places open on sea days only; if you go hungry on this ship, it's your own fault for being too picky.

Activities, in my opinion, were lacking a little. Yes, there was a "fun times" delivered to your stateroom with onboard activities, but to be honest, they changed a lot (publication said there was one type of trivia available but you show up & there's another). Our cruise director was a little "incognito", to be honest. On past cruises we always at least MET the cruise director; only time we say ours on this sailing was on the TV, so not sure what was happening with that.

I did enjoy our ports of call (Falmouth, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel), with the first being somewhat my least favorite once you leave the dock. The vendors really are a pain, extremely aggressive & wanting you to buy a carved stick for $10. Albeit unfortunate that their country is so impoverished, it screams desperation.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite

Cabin OS

Don't be chintzy & cheap on your vacation; pay the money & enjoy it! We've only booked balconies but this time booked the suite, soooo glad we did. This one was right by the glass elevators & everyone fears hearing lots of noise; to be honest, we didn't hear anything more than anywhere else on the ship. Perks like priority boarding, double sinks, Jacuzzi tub, walk in closet, then priority disembarkation, why go back to a balcony???

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Went to Sky Reef beach on our own (taxi was $25), hubby went snorkeling & felt content that we didn't have to book an $85 per person excursion to enjoy ourselves.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Walked around & shopped, weather was foggy so didn't want to book anything for fear that the weather would ruin it. I enjoyed Grand Cayman a lot.

Falmouth

I love Jamaica but will not return to Falmouth. Enjoyed the "inside shopping area" (where vendors don't pester you) but when you travel "outside the gates", you can't walk 3 feet without some person wanting to braid your hair or take you on a taxi tour. Just keep saying "no thank you" yet they keep following you. Quite disturbing when you have small children with you.

Miami

Flew in the night before, stayed at the Sheraton; decent stay.
