We encountered the most surly reception staff ever and public areas air conditioning that could cause frostbite. There was dust on ledges in the Orion dining room and we found the menus basic and unexciting. Lots of lobster tail meals at the formal dinner were returned because they were dry and overcooked and my husband's mixed grill the following evening came with gravy over the egg. We were shocked to see that lamb chops or steak carried a £9.99 subsidy, something that would be regular items on the menu on other cruise ships. Although my allergy was catered for at no time was i provided with a menu to pre choose my meal as stated by the maitre d every evening using the same spiel verbatim. Service was generally good however an Eastern European head waiter was racist as he told us to "follow the monkey boy" referring to an Asian waiter. Totally unacceptable.

The sunbeds on deck were stained and filthy and one waiter actually kicked the fruit he dropped from a drink under the sunbed.

Cabin was basic with a TV that lost its signal and a bathroom that was extremely tired looking with scratched washbasin and ill fitting shower curtain that had mould along the top of it.

Cabin Review

Cabin inside

Basic accommodation with very tired bathroom facility lacking in complimentary toiletries that are standard on most cruise lines. Paying £15 to use the safe that is in your cabin is a rip off considering security is of utmost importance and guests carry documents ie passports that need to be kept safe.
