One of the few special touches

Firstly, I would only give a 2.5 if possible.

As I relax in the shade of the promenade deck (as it turns out the newest looking and best maintained area) I thought I'd reflect and share the differences between Pacific Dawn and our previous Princess cruise. I guess the biggest difference was the decor/wear and tear of the ship, the service and the quality of food.

Pacific Dawn looks tired and old in places and just didn't have the 'wow' that Diamond Princess had.

Noumea

Not much to see if you didn't take a shore excursion. Walked up to the church and found a yummy cake shop.

Lifou

Absolutely stunning beach with crystal clear waters. Walked up to the church with a lovely walk and loads of butterflies. Lots of market stalls and massages where the tender drops. Everywhere accepted Aussie dollars.
