Let me start off with that I was somewhat apprehensive before this cruise because of the negative reviews. This is my 12th cruise but my 1st with NCL. All my others have been with Princess. I sailed with a friend and I’m in my mid-forties. Over all it was a good cruise and would try another cruise with NCL.

Embarkation: We flew in the morning of the cruise and landed about 11:30 and took an Uber to the port. We arrived at the port about 12:15 with little traffic. Dropped our bags off and headed inside. There was no line at security and was placed in the priority line for check in. There were just as many people in the priority line as the normal line. Later I found out that after you cruise once with NCL you can get in the priority line which IMHO no longer makes it priority. But the line moved fast and we were boarding the ship by 1:15. After boarding we had a drink at the Atrium Bar and cabins were ready by 2:00.

Weather: We had some bad weather throughout the cruise. Embarkation day was sunny with nice temps. In Freeport it was chilly and cloudy for the good part of the day with some stray sun as the day progressed. In Nassau we had rain (some heavy), wind, and rough seas. We actually stayed in Nassau overnight because of the rough seas for safety which caused us missing the private island the next day. The last day was a sea day and we had sun and warmer temps with a moderate sea.

Cabin: We were in 9141 an inside on deck 9 midship. This was a typical interior cabin layout and enough room for us on this 4 day cruise. Storage was ok but would of had issues if it was a longer cruise. The shower was a little bigger than expected. Our steward didn’t go out of her way but she keep the place tidy. During the rough seas there was a constant banging of something behind our cabin which kept us up the first two nights. Beds were comfortable though. Luggage arrived pretty quickly.

Port Reviews

Freeport

Hidden Beach Snorkel Trip with Pat and Diane's booked through NCL. Fantastic excursion and highly recommended.

Nassau

Rain and very windy so just went shopping then retuned to ship.
