We were a bit apprehensive about this ship before boarding....not very good reviews, older ship, smaller ship, etc. However, we were pleasantly surprised after boarding....the Spirit has a LOT of character. We loved everything about it! The decor is unusual, the Asian artifacts were interesting, the public spaces were inviting, the atrium is gorgeous!

We mostly ate in the specialty restaurants (Cagney's, LeBistro, Trattoria), and all our meals were outstanding. We ate in the Asian restaurant once, and again, outstanding! We also dined in Windows twice (once with the captain, lucky us!!), and we were all pleased with our choices. We rarely ate in the buffet, because we had breakfast and lunch at Cagney's every day (VIP status), which was awesome.

Every crew member/staff we interacted with were happy, helpful, and very friendly. No complaints there! (Except the cruise director....he was okay, nothing special). Our room steward was one of the best, and when someone was smoking a cigar on the balcony 2 rooms down from us, he promptly asked him to stop. Thank you!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Cabin was a bit small for 3 people, and storage space somewhat lacking, but we managed. It would have been more than adequate for 2. The decor was different, and we loved the tropical fish tiles in the bathroom area.
