DH and I live in the Houston area. We are NCL Platinum Latitudes cruisers, traveling as a couple only. We had booked during a promo that offered 4 choices for Suite guests, so we had UBP, UDP, $75 per port/per cabin Shore Excursions, and 250 Internet Minutes. We pre-paid our DSC and purchased some OBC ahead of time.

Embarkation: We arrived at Bayport Cruise Terminal in Pasadena, TX at 10:25 AM. DH unloaded our luggage, tipped the porter and drove around to the parking lot (we had pre-paid). While he parked I got in line for security, where he joined me fairly quickly. We got through security in under 10 minutes. Check-in for Suite/Haven guests took 20 or so minutes, as there were quite a few European families, and for whatever reasons, that takes longer. There were drinks (water, juice, coffee, hot tea) and assorted snacks set-up for Suite and Haven guests in a separate room, where we met the Concierge, Bruno Dentone. We started boarding at approxiamtely 11:30. During our initial security check while embarking, both our photos needed to be retaken. Cagney’s for lunch (as is breakfast, every day, is a suite perk) so we were then escorted up to Cagney's to enjoy a quick (in our case) lunch. We then went on our own to explore a bit and find our room.

Our Room Steward, Jun Sornito, was absolutely wonderful. He had made a point to know our first names and addressed us as such through-out the week. He was effficient, thorough, and joyful..

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

Stateroom #10666, SF (Aft-Facing Penthouse Suite), Port Side - - NOT HANDICAP A very quiet room... not a connecting stateroom. Excellent Aft panorama with one chair and two longers on the balcony. Wind was not often a problem, but we did have lots of rain keeping us inside for the first two days or so. Soot was a small problem on some days while heading back to Houston, and trash did fall from Great Outdoors (But, Jun cleaned the deck every day). We had plenty of storage space and a good-sized, lit, closet with about 2 dozen hangers. (We always carry extra.)

Port Reviews

Houston

Bayport cruise terminal is lovely and easy to naviagate through to get to the check-in desk. It is a shame that this port will be empty, once again, at the end of April 2016.

Cozumel

Cozumel is a lovely place to visit. We have been to Cozumel about 6-7 times. Our favorite place to go is The Money Bar. Good walk-in snorkling right by the restaurant.

Belize City

Bacab Jungle Park seems like it probably once was great, but is now somewhat run-down and dated. It didn't help that we had a rainy day. If the sun had been shining and the air had been warmer, we might have had a great day.
