We sailed on NCL Star for the Christmas sailing 12/20-12/27, 2015

Embarkation

This was not a good experience. We had an 11:30 AM arrival time. When we arrived at the port building for check in, there were lines with hundreds waiting. No one said why or provided directions. When we finally reached the front of the line, there were three men manually checking boarding documents and passports. Many were seen searching their luggage for their own documents. Had someone said have your documents ready, the lines would not have been as long. We finally checked in after 1 PM. It turned out the ship’s computers were down for two hours prior to our arrival. The actual check in once in the building went quickly.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

We had a minisuite 11061. It was small with only two drawers so luckily there were shelves in the closet for our clothing. It was tight and I cannot imagine what the size of a regular balcony would be. The room furniture could use some updating as there is wear on the tables. Bathroom was a nice size and the room was very clean.
