There were good and bad things about this cruise. I am not one for complaining about things and usually make the best of a bad situation, but a few things upset me with regard to this cruise. The check-in situation at Miami Port was unbelievably awful - long queues outside to get in in the first place, then slow staff and more queues upstairs. Never had that problem before on previous cruises out of Barcelona and Southampton.

The cabin on level 7 was fine - nice balcony, good layout, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and good steward. The food was superb in the Main dining room, the Marketplace, the Sushi restaurant, the Burger place and especially the Fahrenheit 555 Steak house. The service in the Main dining room by Vladimir and Wayan was second to none. they dealt with my needing to be gluten free and dairy free brilliantly, although I must comment that the gf bread was pretty disgusting! lol.

The shows were great, the singing and dancing by the performers was top notch. The comedians were mostly extremely funny. The 02 club for teens was pretty good according to my 16 year old. The quizzes were good and frequently funny. There were sadly no classes as we have had on other cruises which was a shame.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8B

Nice cabin - well set out. enough space even with sofa turned into bed for teen. Good sized balcony though we had a larger one with RCL. Bathroom was a good size and had lots of storage space. Wardrobe space not bad. Aircon worked well. Bed was comfortable.

Port Reviews

Miami

Embarkation took a very long time and there were queues outside for 2 hours.

Grand Turk

Loved Jack's Shack where we had some drinks and then briefly went to Margaritaville having heard all about it and had a cocktail but took it down to the sand. didn't stay in Margaritaville itself - it looked fun but was very crowded. shop sold nice things but a bit pricey.

La Romana (Casa de Campo)

We went with some others from the ship to Dreams all inclusive resort and had the day there. It was gorgeous and the food was fab. Beautiful beach and swim up bar in the pool.

Curacao

We didn't see Curacao in the daylight but it looked like it was quite pretty. Walked through the marketplace and across the bridge and back on the ferry which was fun. Didn't manage to eat there as it was crowded and very late for us. Christmas decorations there were really bright and colourful.

Aruba

Went with our friends by bus to Palm beach which was crowded but gorgeous with white sand and lovely water. A couple of good restaurants there. The town had some good shopping.
