Sail Date: Dec 2015

Best way to spend New Year's Eve
Even the towel animal was involved in New Year's Eve
Action shot of the infamous Topher at Jack's Shack in Grand Turk

The cruise was fine, let me start by saying that. But the ship is showing it's age. People were calling it the "rusterdam" because of all the rust evident everywhere. The chair is our room was in deplorable condition. Took pics and sent them to Guest relations. Arms were filthy and the whole chair stained. The crew was amazing as always.

Did notice some changes in the dining room menu. Could no longer order French onion soup nor crème brulee every night. Looked forward to that. The Eggs Benedict station only had 2 choices- Benedict and Florentine where there used to be 6 or 8 choices. The New Year's Eve celebration in not what it used to be. Basically only the mid ship lido area- no place to sit and no silver tray service.

Entertainment was the same. The embarkation-disembarkation process was seamless as always. We enjoy HAL, but the ms Zuiderdam is our least favorite ship so far. Hoping it was just this ship (we go back on her in March) and not representative of things to come.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VE

Cabin was average, as expected. Chair in cabin was filthy

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Maho beach for a change and the French side

Half Moon Cay

Beautiful place, it never disappoints if you love the beach

San Juan

Not one of our favorite ports. Usually go to Baranchina's or Raices for Mofongo

Grand Turk

Visit Jack's Shack! Much less touristy than Margaritaville!
