Just came back from our cruise, and it was more than I expected. I had read some of the reviews, and since this was my first time on this ship, I was a little worried. Our experience was great. I'll tell you the negative first. The shower stalls are very small, but the amenities are good. The excursions from the ship did not appeal to me and it was expensive, as is the spa.

The good parts: The food was better than any cruise I have taken lately. The variety may not be as great, but the quality was good. The entertainment was the best I've ever experienced on any ship. The cruise director Eric is a phenomenal entertainer!!! We enjoyed every performance of his, whether they were songs like Bring Him Home or Battle Hymn of the Republic, or whether he was the the Dancing Queen, he excelled in them all. He was backed up by a very small but excellent entertainment crew. My husband, who complains all the time about sub-par entertainment on cruises, sat through every performance on this ship. The guests they had on were also excellent.

This is the first cruise I have been on where the captain was very visible. He was everywhere and was approachable and friendly. The crew was great. Our room steward Joy was a happy girl. She was alway singing or smiling and greeted us with cheer each day. There were a couple of hiccups that had nothing to do with the cruise itself, but with the immigration people in one of the islands, and the captain did everything possible to make it easier, but they were stubborn and that caused some people to miss hours of their paid for excursions.

Really small shower. You could hardly turn around in it. That is the only negative.
