My, oh, my! If I didn’t know better, after I reading some of these reviews, I would NEVER leave my house and go on a cruise. First of all it’s a vacation. Lighten up. Stop with the whining. Life is not perfect; therefore everything on a cruise will not always be perfect either. Can't believe that we were on the same cruise as some of these people.

This cruise out of Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 13, 2015 was our first RCL cruise. My sister and I have cruised on Carnival and Norwegian before. I live in Florida and she lives in Canada. So, once a year we make the annual trek to the cruise ship dock here in Florida to take a cruise. Those previous cruises were great. However, the Allure is in a class by itself. It is a humongous and much more beautiful ship.

A family member dropped us off at the dock and we quickly proceeded to the passenger terminal. There was a line but boy did it move fast! Security and check-in at the counter was a breeze. The entire embarkation process seemed flawless and smooth. We arrived at the dock at about 12:15pm. By about 12:40 we were on board the ship. Because of this, we waited about 15-20 minutes for them to allow us to go to our rooms and drop off our luggage. Great timing! The room was a nice interior room that was quite adequate in size for the two of us. No problem there. However, the bathroom is small and the shower is tiny so beware!! Not even a Ken and Barbie doll can fit in there together. RCL skimps on showers and the bathroom space on this ship. The room was located toward the rear elevators. Please always, always, always try to book a room near the elevators if you can!!! You will never regret it. It is so nice to come off an elevator and just one or two doors down the hallway you find your room.

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Small but comfortable. I don't cruise for the rooms. If I want a want a big room I would go to Vegas. Bathrooms are ridiculously small however. Shower is tiny. Carnival's rooms are much bigger....and less expensive!
