Let me start out by saying that we are definitely "CRUISERS" and are definitely not "COMPLAINERS" in any way. This was my 25th cruise, my husband's 22nd, our 17 year old's 16th and our 13 year old's 15th cruise and have enjoyed every one of them. We always look for the positive in everything but there wasn't too much positive on this trip. I read the previous reviews and had many of the same issues.

I totally agree with the review saying there was no wow factor while boarding the ship. As a matter of fact boarding the ship never really stuck out in my head until I read that review. We somehow ended up in Margaritaville and were trying to finish downloading the NCL app on our phones so that we could stay in contact throughout the cruise (which I thought was a GREAT idea). It took forever to get them downloaded which was very frustrating.

Our room was very nice. I liked the way the areas were separated with a curtain and it had plenty of storage for all 4 of us. The bathroom was more spacious than most cruise ships but the lock on the door didn't work. I also liked the idea of having to put a room key in the slot inside the room to get power to the room. Excellent idea to conserve power when people are not in the room. Also, being able to push the "do not disturb" button or the 'make up the room" button was very handy and avoided unnecessary knocks on the door. The bad part about that was that having 2 teenagers with us, someone was almost always in the room and a few days it didn't get cleaned because I guess they don't clean if the light is lit saying that someone is in the room. I felt like the room was very centrally located and easy to get to everything. But after reading another review I realized that this ship is really not all that big, just a lot crammed in the space & decks stacked up.
