Emerald Princess Cruise Review by Rfinnshw
- Sail Date: December 2015
- Destination: Western Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Balcony
We paid a premium to have a Balcony, but could not enjoy the view etc. due to having to keep the Curtains and Drapes fully closed to curtail the heat and sunlight to make the barely working AC temperature tolerable. We reported the AC problem twice to Customer Service, and after two days someone made and appearance to our Cabin but the AC problem was not fixed. Even though they left a card next to the thermostat claiming that the problem was fixed.
We also had a leak in the back of the toilet which caused a constant puddle issue. Once again, we had to call twice before Customer Service finally sent someone to fix the leak..two days later!
re: Entertainment: The Productions shows were all very good. The Single acts on the other nights in the main showroom were both very talented but not seasoned enough for a major show room on a 3,000 passenger ship. Both of the Singers would be better suited for the Lounges.
The ambiance in Piazza [atrium] would have been better if they utilized the Piano player more. The Steel Drum & Violin act was a nice novelty but it was not soothing enough to endure for long periods of time.

The toilet leaked for 2 days, causing a puddle issue, and it took two days and two calls to Customer Service before someone showed up to resolve the problem.

The outer perimeter area is just shacks and donkeys etc.
