Embarkation was late and chaos. Cabin much smaller than anything we have ever had before and this was a balcony cabin. Food awful. 1st year catering students could do much better! Vegetables we almost raw - I know people do not like them overcooked but this was more raw than cooked. Variety almost non-existent. We booked the Christmas & New Year cruise as we thought it would be really good - disaster. Atrium was very nicely decorated but that was as near to Christmas as you were going to get. Staff were not pleasant or particularly helpful. Often you would have to go to the bar to try to get someone to serve you. The whole ship is past its sell by date and looks a sorry state - badly in need of scrapping or some TLC. Headliners entertainment team even managed to clear a whole theatre in less than 15 minutes! They all think they are amazing but have no talent whatsoever. A lot of dancing in very short skirts does not make a happy audience! We had very bad weather and sea sickness was a norm for most people the ship rocks all over the place and things just fly everywhere. In the Plaza a whole load of plates went crashing to the floor on one occasion. We only heard the Captain on the radio on a couple of occasions, we never saw him! Wondered sometimes if he had actually left the ship!! He should not be on a passenger ship as he does not want to bother with the passengers at all. More information regarding the state of the weather/sea/winds etc would have helped a lot of people trying to cope with feeling very ill. Radio broadcast at 9am and Midday and that was it was no use to anyone wondering if things would get better later! I would not go with P&O ever again even if it was free. This whole cruise felt like you were being ripped off for as much as they could get from you and that was all they cared about.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom with Shower
Cabin JA
Very small - other cruise lines are much bigger.
Balcony not what you expect either and again very small chairs can only go sideways!
