Wow, cruising again on the Solstice was like coming home. We really like this ship, lots of space, doesn't feel crowded, happy staff, great service. We had great weather in the South Pacific as well, so I guess we were very lucky.

Our balcony room 7334 was well appointed, clean, lots of storage space, and our room stewards Berri and Adi did a wonderful job of keeping things in order. We would go to breakfast and about half an hour later would return to a cleaned room. They were both very good, and we had no problems with the room at all.

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Great cabin, everything worked, great bathroom, quiet. Balcony overlooks lifeboats but there is no obstruction.

Port Reviews

Noumea

We took the Hop On Hop Off bus. Cost is $15AUD. You buy a ticket where the smaller boats dock, and where the shuttle buses stop from the larger ships. Other tours are available, including the tourist train. Markets are located on the second level.

Mystery Island

This is a tender port, just get off the tender and either swim near where the tenders come in or walk across the island (3 minutes walk, it is a very small island) for snorkelling. Wear reef shoes if you go to the other side.

Lifou

Great swimming if you want to take a dip, water very clean and warm. Just walk to the beach next to the tender docks.
