Was really looking forward to this cruise and wanted to enjoy it so much, unfortunately Royal Caribbean made it very hard to enjoy. I did the Carnival Spirit Melbourne Cup cruise just a couple months before this cruise so I could compare them easily, Carnival Spirit leaves Explorer for dead.

Upon arrival my room card did not work had to go to reception and wait in a 30 minute long queue (I am not exaggerating this), they fixed it so went back to the room to find out we had a double bed but ticked the form left on the bed to have them separated... bed was left as a double so had to go to reception to try and get it fixed "no problem we will fix it now", waited two hours and still a double so back to reception to wait in the long queue again.

Once again told them and "no problem we will fix it right away", waited in a bar for another hour... it was now 12:30am, went back to room to check and still double so back to reception again. Was pretty much ready to sleep in the double with my friend because it wasn't a big deal to me, I just thought it was a bad first impression for a first timer to have to share a double. Finally got them to change it over to two singles....
