The best things about this cruise were our steward, Linda (loved her towel animals), the gym (it was very nice), and our one excursion to Casa del Playa in Cozumel. Everything else was pretty bad. Getting on the boat was hell...hours of lines and waiting. Total chaos! Get a Faster to Fun pass if you can! I watched those folks waltz right past all us suckers. I would have to say the food was mediocre, at best. The pizza and sandwiches were standard, not terrible. The buffet and sit down dishes were often inedible! Our 815 assigned seating often took an hour for us to get food, and when it arrived, it was terrible. We got a moldy piece of bread once, and one night we actually had to serve ourselves water. Terrible service and our table was often the last ones still eating in the dining room. We stopped going to dinner 2 days in because it was so bad. Smoke was really bad near the walking track and casinos. We avoided smoking areas at all costs. We decided to stay on the ship for the Progresso excursion day and the boat was quiet and relaxing. The last day of the cruise included high winds which left us feeling really seasick. Outside shows were cancelled because of it. Getting off the boat using the "relax" option which called us by number was easy, thank goodness. We could not wait to get away from that boat.

Disappointing for a First Time Cruiser

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4H 7323
We were in 7323 (empress is supposed to be the best deck) and our neighbors slammed their door day and night and were yelling back and forth for hours (we called security once) - we barely slept for 5 days.

The room is OLD. Orange and tan walls and rugs, ripped and stained areas with an ancient TV. My bed squeaked every time I moved.
