This was cruise #21 for me, #3 on Carnival. Based on my first 2 Carnival cruises, I did not have high expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The ship was in good repair, the food was of adequate quality and plentiful, and there were lots of things to do on board for a range of ages and interests.

(This is a minor negative, but it did stand out: there was no emphasis on hand sanitizing and sanitizers were difficult to find and usually empty. When I reported it at the dining room, I was met with a blank stare and nothing was done.) We had an oceanview room for 3 and it was roomy and comfortable. Service was good and the crew was friendly and accommodating.
