Cabin: Interior Stateroom

We are a senior couple from Virginia. My wife has one more cruise to her credit than I, (I think I have cruised 7 times. We never book suites, only interior, ocean view, and balcony cabins.

We drove from Virginia to Port Canaveral taking two days and arriving early enough to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Following our previous experience we thought it best to stay a motel which would allow us to leave our car at the motel while we cruised, this time we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. This was a good place to stay. I will note that this a larger than average Hampton having 8 floors. I was a nice stay.

The Freedom of the Seas is a large ship for us. We liked the central promenade especially.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

No problems, as with most cabins in this day of electronics, we could have used more electrical outlets. In our experience this interior cabin is slightly smaller than most cabins. It does not seem that the furniture would accommodate a third person, and four would be an apparent impossibility. However, the cabin was very comfortable for the two of us.

Port Reviews

Falmouth

Nice tour. Although lunch was included and they ran out and had to prepare more. Not exactly what was on the advertised menu, but acceptable.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We did not take any excursions here. We arrived several days early and went to Orlando to visit Universal Studios.

Labadee

Labadee is a privately owned island somewhat of an amusement park. It is a nice place to walk around, lunch is free provided by the ship. There is a market, and the principal amusement is the Zip line. (Price $109). Oh there is transportation for people who don't or can't walk very far.
