We recently went on the NCL Pearl.....I was disappointed w/my expectations. After saving to go on a pre-Xmas cruise, I was really looking forward to it. All I can say is at least the shore excursions I'd booked was good & the days we went on own was good.

1. The food on the Pearl was always repeated w/only a few selections that was different. On each night, I was waiting for my Lobster night that wasn't offered. Or the escargot appetizer that is common came out differently w/a mushroom brown gravy on toast instead on the 5-little-bite-size platter that is commonly served. Horrible!

2. Usually every night's dinner in my past experience, there's a Theme night dinnertime. It wasn't offered.

Port Reviews

Miami

Miami we went on own. Ate Cuban food is great. Restaurant name La Carreta. Rented car & went all over.

Colon (Cristobal)

Booked the Gatun Lock eco cruise. It was good.

Puerto Limon

All was OK. The historic train was a bit humid because of no AC.

Roatan

The only thing was there's only 1 semi-sub not a glass bottom boat so we had to wait long time for all 4 buses of crowd to go on. Village was so-so.

Belize City

Awsome!! We horseback to the rainforest, countryside, then had a traditional Hispanic lunch & water park pool to cool off if wanted. Not much time though.
