We recently returned from a fantastic cruise and experience on the Britannia Ship. Please ignore the very small vocal minority of professional moaners on board (why don't they just stay at home?).

It is the first time that we have taken a holiday abroad during the British winter and enjoyed every minute both on board and on shore. We had a standard balcony cabin on G Deck and was very impressed with both the size of the cabin and the facilities. We were pleased that we chose a balcony cabin as it was lovely sitting there on a morning drinking our early cuppa looking out over a new Caribbean island. On an evening before we ate we also had a nice chilled glass of wine sat on the balcony in the warm Caribbean air.

We were on Freedom dining and this suited us as we don't like being tied to a particular dining time when on holiday. Initially we shared a table with other guests and they were fine, but due to the small chance of ending up with a professional moaner on our table we later opted for a table for two. The food in the Meridian restaurant was excellent, both in quality and choice. In fact we ate there on all nights except the first night in the Horizon buffet and one night in Sindhu restaurant (again both were excellent). Breakfast was always a leisurely affair in the Horizon buffet restaurant. Excellent choice to suit all tastes and diets - Fresh fruit, porridge, cereals, continental, cakes, full English, 6 types of eggs (unfortunately this wasn't enough for one moaning lady sat next to us who complained that her fried egg wasn't up to standard lol.
