Sea Princess is incapable of providing adequately for any special diet except for simple gluten free or vegetarian. They have no menu for Gluten, Lactose or any other frequently occurring allergy. This caused multiple reactions because of inadequate information. Also many became ill with a flu like virus. NO EXTRA CLEANING was done of rails or buttons around the ship. One waiter coughed into his hand and kept on clearing and wiping tables. My husband and myself have arrived home today sick with flu like symptoms. We were healthy when we boarded and got sick a few days into the trip.

We definitely did not return as Promised. We certainly did not "Come back New". Passengers were made to feel that it was all their fault that they were sick. We had sprayed our entire cabin with Glen 20 before unpacking and again before leaving. When we saw our stripped bed, the mattress cover and doona both had brown stains from the previous trip. We had been told that "everything was fresh" when we boarded. We know we did not spill or cause bodily stains. Pity the next person!

We also had to put up with the lead male singer from the production troupe loudly telling the entire Horizon Court about one of his own sexual encounters in complete detail from go to whoa while fellow troupe members laughed. I asked for the errant singer to be put off ship but was ignored until my husband and I pushed the matter further. We were initially told that "appropriate" action had been taken and that I, as the passenger, did not need to know. Upon insisting on further information as I was personally affected, we were later told that he had been given a final warning.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Standard layout Balcony Cabin. Very squishy pillows feel OK but scrunch quickly leaving a sore neck on wake up. Found stained mattress cover and doona from previously. These are NOT changed between passengers. Cabin Steward works hard and does the best he is allowed to do. If you need a walker in the cabin, remove the backrest and most will fold under the bed OK. The steward stored our wheelchair and was most helpful in fetching when needed. Limited space in bathroom to store toiletries. Only two small shelves and no ddrawes or cupbaord as on other cruise liners.

Port Reviews

Port Vila

Average but expensive for what was on offer.

Well organized and narrated.
