No one should have to pay so much money to be on a place on earth like this. The service in the main dining room (The Waterfront Restaurant) was well below par with all other cruise ships I have travelled on. Not even table cloths on tables. No pepper and salt on table. I had to ask for everything and then wait.

Waiters took us to our seats and just left us there standing. Many did not make us feel welcome. We paid the full price of $2,000 per person for this 10 day cruise whilst others paid only half and many of them were still not happy. We were told that P&O had introduced the Aria and Eden to Australia to provide a new (up market) and better style of quality of cruising to their fleet. Our ship the Aria did not even come up to the quality of the other cheaper P&O ships. It was "Like no Place on Earth"!

1. Two of the four lifts in the bank we had to use were out of service most of the cruise.
