No doubt in recommending this cruse!!! My husband and I enjoyed our 7 days cruise trip on ¨OASIS OF THE SEAS¨ on the Caribbean: NASSAU, BAHAMAS – ST. THOMAS – ST. MARTEEN.

According to our experience and disagreeing with some prior reviews from travelers, our opinion is that there are more PROS than CONS about this amazing ship.

Our vacation trip began on Nov. 28th and ended on Dec. 5th , 2015. We did our best to enjoy and make profit as much as we could, but this ship is so huge, with so many attractions and the activities go on so constantly that it´s impossible to catch on and enjoy EVERYTHING. No motion sea sick at all. We didn´t use our ¨extra¨ medicines. It never looked like we were on a ship with 6.000 passengers including the crew.

CABIN: It was a superior stateroom with private ocean view balcony on deck 6 – 556. It was very nice, plenty of storage for 2 adults. We kept all our clothes in the closet (sufficient hangers), 1 big and 2 carry-on bags under the bed and used the 3 drawers for other articles so that everything was kept out of sight and it always looked neat. NO noises at all. Great sound proofing. It was near the elevators, stairs, Opal Theater, Studio B, Comedy Show, Boardwalk and the Vitality Spa/gym area. The bathroom feels bigger than it looks . The circular shower provides plenty of room. The water pressure and the sliding door were perfect. The air conditioning and the plasma flat screen TV were efficient. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

We recommend 2 adults for this cabin + a child because there´s a sofa bed which would work fine for a kid. We just loved it. The hair dryer worked fantastically. There´s NO need to take your makeup mirror because their mirrors and illumination were great.

PLACES TO EAT: We loved having breakfast, lunch and dinner at WINDJAMMER (buffet). Plenty of food for all tastes and likes. Not so crowded, but you have to pick a table and one of your partners stay there while you serve yourself, on the contrary another person could get it .

We sampled some of the complimentary restaurants such as: Windjammer, American Icon, Silk, Café Promenade, Sorrento´s pizza, Wipe Out Café, Johnny Rockets (loved the chocolate milk shake!) and thought the food was plenty to satisfy us. We also went to the Solarium Bristo restaurant ($) and had a nice diner. Breakfast room service food OK, arrived on time and still hot!

ENTERTAINMENTS: Due to the weather & some technical issues we missed (all passengers did) the so expected show ¨OASIS OF DREAMS¨, but the rest of the shows were very good, such as: ¨FROZEN IN TIME, CATS, FLY WITH ME, HEADLINER –ABBA show , LOVE MARRIAGE GAME etc. There are too many to mention and time isn´t enough to make profit of them. We believe we needed 7 more days to both: enjoy and rest…rest and enjoy!

The parade was great. We got a nice spot at the SCHOONER BAR and got nice picks and videos from it.

DRINKS: We decided not to purchase any drink packages because we are not a huge soda/alcohol family and we are glad we didn´t buy any because we were plenty satisfied with the complimentary drinks ROYAL CARIBBEAN provides such as: water, lemonade (loved it), ice & hot tea, milk, coffee (better than expected Royal Caribbean brand), a very tasteful mix of strawberry and another fruit (don´t remember which one) juice, orange juice, etc. We also enjoyed purchasing - at our pace- very, very delicious wine on the glass (red & white) for our diners, beers, alcohol & non alcoholic cocktails, tropical martinis, natural orange juices, cokes, etc. We had gotten an award of 100 dls per person when my husband bought the tickets and we used it for the drinks and some shopping, so the extra total amount we had to pay was about 90dls . It was worth it instead of buying the less expensive drink package for about 300dls. and no wine included!!!

PORT AND SHORE EXCURSIONS: We mostly stayed at the port areas. In NASSAU we took the Discover Atlantis tour and loved it. In St. Thomas we took the water taxi and enjoyed the beach nearby and town.

EMBARKATION / DIBARKATION: They went smooth and fast although lines were very long but, due to the terminal is designed for large crowds everything moved quickly. I personally give a 10+ to the crew members organization the day of departure in the ship. Getting off and on the ship on port days were a breeze.

We didn´t like the 3D movie ¨MAD MAX FURY ROAD¨, my time dining (went 2 nights) because the menu wasn´t appealing and because it took about 2 hours being served, the ice cream parlor does not offer exquisite ice cream for the price they charge. We find much better flavors in our home city.

GENERAL OVERVIEW: OASIS is a terrific ship. Very clean . The staff was mostly friendly and helpful, always cleaning, polishing and sometimes painting some areas of the ship. We were very happy on this vacation trip. Because of prior reviews, our expectations were rather low in some aspects but, in the end, everything turned out to be just the contrary. Elevators were not a problem. There was little waiting time given the massive number of people. We tipped our cabin steward twice (at the beginning and end of the cruise), the ones who brought us the room service, one or another waiter at restaurants and to the ones who took care of our luggage in the port. We enjoyed being in the hot tubs located inside the solarium (jacuzzis), the beach pool. They were never crowded.
