Re: Trapped in the Norwegian Spirit PRISON SHIP
Two week cruise from December 19, 2015 to January 2, 2016
Escaped on December 26, 2015
As a "hotel" I give this ship 1 star (*) The rooms are incredibly small with barely over two feet between the bed and the wall. The grout on the old bathroom tiles are filled with mold, and my room had red something on the grout that looked like the leftover of a crime scene. The balcony barely fits the two chairs they throw in there with the leg-room of an economy airline seat but the glass railing is so filthy dirty that the balcony is only there for show. The bath towels are old, and overused beyond their expiration date and so worn-out rough that they feel like sand-paper and when you dry your body or face it will turn red. On the plus side those towels will give you a free dermabrasion. The TV in the room is about 18" and I got so sick of the K-Mart type announcements that I disconnected it.
The ship has an old intercom system and they have these annoying announcements every times an hour.
They have cut so many corners on this ship that even the most basic health standard like having toilet seat covers anywhere in the ship, even the common area is non-existent. While they make sure your hands are clean and crew is everywhere with spray bottles they don't care at all if you use unprotected toilet seats.
I've been to St. Thomas way too many times and did the tours so this time we got off the ship and saw that nothing has changed so we went back within one hour.
This was the first time that I went on a cruise from Orlando and found this city lacking in anything that I would want to see. Yes, they have Disney and SeeWorld but that is not why we flew across the country for.
