I am a very forgiving person but this cruise was hard to forgive. We knew going in that this is the oldest boat in the fleet so I expected some problems, our shower door did not open easily but maintenance fixed that, although we did not call it in, I think the cruisers on the cruise before us did. That's kinda sad it took them that long to fix it. A few loose tiles and the room next to ours (traveling partners) had a leak that went though the wall into the sleeping area (they fixed that while they were fixing the shower doors). Our closed door would not stay shut, every night we had to use the spare comforter to hold open the door to keep it from slamming shut while we were sleeping. Otherwise the room was clean and sufficient for what we needed. Our room attendant was Great!! He did everything asked of him and more!

The common areas of the ship were clean and nice, although the elevators at the back of the ship would not call from deck 11, multiple time they had to fix this.

Tendering was a joke at Grand Cayman, they assembled everyone with an excursion in the theater and then released us all at once. The line to get on the tenders was huge and took forever! Why assemble everyone if you are just going to release them at the same time?! Tendering at GSC was no better, there was multiple times listed for getting tender tickets in the daily news letter. We saw 6:30 and 7:00. So we got out there around 6:15. Instead of handing them out early because the lie was getting really long, they waited until 7. It wrapped almost all the way around the pool! Why can't they hand them out the night before? It would have been nice to not have to get up early for a tender ticket. The shore excursions on Grand Cayman and Jamaica we fun, not really any complaints there.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Nice new clean port, no problems getting on or off the ship!

Costa Maya

Nicer than I thought it would be but still being built. Overall a nice port.

Great Stirrup Cay

We got 2 clam shells and spent the day snorkeling, relaxing and exploring the island. Bring your own snorkeling gear, it was to expensive to rent them there, $30 a day for one set!
