We have just returned from our third P & O holiday, and the Christmas Cruise on the Pacific Eden was very special - the friendliness and service of all staff was excellent, and made us feel immediately 'at home'. Our cabins and lounge areas were always clean and well-maintained and extremely comfortable, and the meals in our favourite Waterfront Restaurant were exceptional - we had the same two Waiters for most of our meals, and their attention and efficiency were outstanding - their sense of humour made our time most enjoyable. The menu was extensive and varied, servings were ample, delivered hot, and with minimum delay - most impressed!

Having sailed on this ship when it was the Statendam, we were amazed at the recent refurbishment. The unfortunate virus problem, which has received considerable passenger comment and media exposure, did affect one of our party, but we were satisfied that all care and corrective action was taken in a professional manner.

The variety and quality of the Entertainers was good, and we especially appreciated the Christmas Eve Spectacular, the quality of the Eden's Pop Stars, the violinist Patrick Roberts,and the final night Song & Dance show - top class! All in all, a very memorable Christmas celebration - thank you P & O.!
