This is quite possibly the most disappointing cruise I've been on in my life. I booked the trip due to a very low price and quite a few extras tossed in. On the whole, though, I will probably not cruise with Norwegian again.

The stateroom seemed small, even by inside cabin standards. There was no mini sofa, just built-in tables and desks. The shower, conversely, was quite large. I suspect it stole some real estate from the rest of the room. Storage space was fine for my needs, though as my stateroom (10159) is designed for four, I have no idea how that many people could store their stuff in it. The TV remote only would power on and do volume control. Input source was disabled, so I was unable to use the screen as a monitor for my laptop (a good stateroom TV accepts an alternative HDMI source; I prefer to watch movies on the TV with the remote for volume control). The feed appeared to be standard definition. There was no interactive features, meaning I could not check my stateroom charges except by going to the front desk.

On the plus side, the room heating controls was one of the best I've had on a ship. I prefer a much warmer climate than most people, and usually even full heat is too cool for me. In this room, I had to dial it back a few notches from high to be comfortable. The stateroom attendant was fine, except for inexplicably not making up my stateroom until after 3:00 p.m. on the first full day, despite my being out for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and being out on the ship all morning.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IF

Stateroom seemed small, even by inside standards, with no sofa and two desks. The shower is large by ship standards and has a sliding door instead of curtains. No power outlet in the bathroom. TV remote only powered on and did volume control (I had to push the tv buttons to change channels). The TV would not accept an external HDMI source even with my laptop connected by HDMI cable to it. Thermostat controls and heat level were very good. Bed was fine. Storage space was enough for a single person and probably two.

Port Reviews

Puerto Vallarta

I only went to the Wal-Mart in this port to buy Coke Zero.
