This was our second short cruise on the Constellation and we were also on her sister ship, the Summit in late July. The last two trips we booked a Sky Suite and it is well worth the extra expense. The rooms are a little larger than the balcony staterooms but Luminae Restaurant is a wonderful addition given to suite occupants, along with access to Michael's Lounge. Embarkation was a breeze for everyone and we quickly went to Luninae to make reservations for our five dinners. Luminae was open for every meal except one luncheon when we were in Cozumel. We saw old "friends" on the Constellation, including Baldo, the fun and talented activiites director and Captain Kafetzis who is the charming younger brother of the Captain who we had on the Summit (now on the Silhouette I believe). Both Captains are fun loving and accessible.

The many activities on the ship seemed to be enjoyed by most. The food was good as was the selection. The only shortcoming on the cruise was the entertainment, especially in the Celebrity Theater, which was adequate but underwhelming. The dancers were far more talented than the singers. We were pleasantly surprised that the boat was in such good condition and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time. We usually take longer cruises on smaller, more upscale ships, but these short cruises have also become a nice way to get away and Celebrity has met and exceeded our expectations in almost every way.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

Our cabin was very well situated mid ship and clean, with everything in fine working order. It is our second suite experience on Celebrity, and even though the staterooms are not that much larger, the accompanying amenities now given to Sky Suite occupants are well worth the extra price. Bravo to Celebrity for seeing a need and filling it! Our room steward, Alfredo, was rarely seen but very efficient and we were very happy with his service. I would be wary of 6108 as it is right near the staircase. Noise was never an issue in our room and we both slept soundly, and I would imagine most of the Sky Suites on the 6th floor were as nice.

Key West

Key West is a nice place to get off of the ship and walk around. Take the on and off again train for a quick trip around. Most stores were open even though it was Christmas day.
